FTR Schedules State of Freight Webinar: Trucking Regulations

As the Senate debates possible changes to Hours of Service regulations, FTR's esteemed transportation economist Noël Perry will explore the affects of trucking regulations on the transportation market during FTR's State of Freight webinar scheduled for Thursday, June 12 at 11 a.m. EDT.

In this thirty minute webinar, moderated by Eric Starks, president of FTR, Perry will present the facts about how regulatory change affects the market; provide a historical comparison with the regulatory changes from the 2000s; consider what happens in 2014/2015, as well as what to expect when the next big wave of regulations rolls in.

Perry commented, "HOS rollback would lower capacity by 100 basis points.  It would still be very high, 97.5%, but it would provide some margin below the 99% danger point. Yet the pipeline for future regulation is full, and companies need to be prepared for more change."

After CSA and HOS what comes next?
The four ways that regulatory change affects the market.
What's happened so far, and how does it compare to the Ought's go around?
The outlook for 2014 and 2015
The next big wave: 2/16/2018

Participant Q&A session will be held after Perry’s presentation.
